When I first started my blog 5-years ago I had all the time in the world. No job and no commitments other than college. I used to read around 140 books a year and all I wanted to do was review books and add content to my blog. Until 2016 when my biggest dream came true! I got into law school. If you have followed my blog you will know that was a massive dream of mine, but with moving out came bills, which means work, uni and more work.
Unfortunately, my time was spent on trying to push myself to get the best classification law degree I could. My love for reading had to be put into reading law blogs, journals, books and articles. This meant I had little time for my blog, which often played on my mind.
However, I now have a 2:1 classification Law Degree and I am going on to study a Masters in Professional Legal Practice/ Legal practice course in September. I have also just renovated property with my Partner, and we now have a fresh modern space. As I am studying Masters part-time, I have extra free time. I have books under my coffee table ready to read, a new mature attitude with different topic ideas for my blog.
I am going to stick to my book reviews, as they are foundation for my blog, However, I do want to tailor my blog to legal topics as that is the career path I want to follow and want my blog to stay relevant to my interests.
I am going to plan some blogs and start uploading again as regularly as I can. I hope to see you all soon, and this time…. ill try to stick to it.
Happy reading 🙂
Griffiths, 40. Arrested after committing murder 3 times.
Griffiths was studying a PhD in criminology at Bradford university, when he was arrested for the murder of Susan Rushworth, Shelley Armitage and Suzanne Blamires, all bizarrely with their first name beginning with the letter ‘S’.
Griffiths was a man whom studied the work of prior criminal Valentine, to which he got his ‘inspiration’ to go on a vile killing spree. Griffiths proceeded to brag about his crimes on a website before killing his victims. His crimes were so brutal all females were reported to be dismantled in his bath, after he had knocked Suzanne unconscious.
Griffiths even went as far to have skinned his victims, and consumed them afterwards. a lot of his brutal attacks were caught on CCTV outside his flat.
The remains of Rushworth were never found.
luckily Griffiths was charged with the murder of all three women, and sentenced to life imprisonment, which a whole life order.
I’m feeling so guilty. I promised to be uploading again regularly, but evidently I have neglected both my blogs for some time. I’ve recently had a eureka moment, and decided I’m going to force myself to make sure I put 100% time and efforts back into my blogs.
This means I have got 3 new series coming which include –
- What about Law series – As I am I law student I thought I’d create a series about my second passion along side reading books (going into the right profession). This series will include, crazy laws in the UK and neighbouring countries, new laws, random law facts, and some opinionated law pieces. I’ll hopefully be talking about news relation and current affairs also.
- Murder/Mystery series – This will include the most notorious killers, and pieces on unsolved murders and crimes, which could be really interesting for me as well as you, going along and finding out theories, and case facts.
- How and Why series – As I’m a serious Procrastinator I often bombard my brain with hypothetical scenarios and how and why questions, which I can go into a lot of depth with. Some will be controversial topics, whilst others will be just general why and how life questions.
I am hopefully looking to start these next week.
Happy reading 🙂
Author : Ransom Riggs
Rating : 10/10
I read this book a loooonnnng time ago, but only just got around to reviewing it. its quite fitting as the film is due out in the cinemas soon, which I’m so excited about!
The book itself has a great warmth to it, and is really interesting to read. The characters each take on a life of their own and develop continuously throughout. The storyline which includes Jacob shows how family secrets can effect someone’s life, but also in the long run make it better and filled with excitement!
There was never a dull moment in the book, I had to slow down the reading as I loved it that much and didn’t want it to end. The idea and creation of the book was perfect, and couldn’t recommend it enough! also everyone needs to go see the film and read the book; to witness something truly magical!
happy reading 🙂
Yikes! what a few Month it has been! I got my A-level results, which were 10X better than I anticipated and I got into university!!!! since I found out I’ve been shopping, shopping and shopping.
I’m moving out which means I have to buy everything from scratch, so its given me little time to plan and write blogs, or get my Room94 blog started fully. from the 13th of September regular updates to Inspiredbyabook will be made, from movie, book and general reviews to discussion topics.
updates to Room94 will be less regular, as I am re-launching due to been unable to commit 100% to it.
I’d appreciate if my fellow followers, could go follow room94site, in preparation for re-launch, as that will have beauty, fashion and food content.
I look forward to 100% starting back up both blogs, including the Instagram page from the 12th.
Well this happened today! I’m so happy and over the moon!
It’s the reason I’ve been shady on the reviews because I’ve spent too much time thinking I’ve failed!
Turns out, after 9 exams my main results were ABBBBCC! SOO HAPPY!
I’ve finally finished the first vampire diaries book! Which unfortunately took me ages, especially with exams. However, it got me thinking… Apart from social change and context, could you tell what year a book was written? Whether it be from the 1800’s to the 1900’s or even 2016?
I noticed as I was reading The vampire diaries it was written in 1991, 6 years before I was born! Previous to this knowledge I had done little research so thought it was written fairly recent at around 2006 onwards.
Because of my thoughts, I wondered can you tell? Especially because to me, the writing style and language is fluent and modern. Or could it just be that language is slow moving.
What are your thoughts on this? Please comment!
*review up soon*
Like last year, I’ve abandoned my blogs for exams, my Alevels. In September I’ll be going to Chester university to study LLB law (if i pass).
I’ve got LOADS of ideas for blogs, but wayyy too much catching up to do on reading, as the last 6 months has been spent on reading text books. I’ve deeply missed reading so hope to get back into it very soon!
Movie reviews will also continue so you know what to watch!
My beauty blog will also be up and running with great reviews and hauls! Much much more too.
It’s great to be back!
Yet again another knock out book by Ivy Smoak! Another late night getting through the book, because I can never seem to put them down!
All seems well once again for Penny and Hunter, but like always something throws a spanner into the works! It was great to see how Penny and Hunters relationship has developed since the first books (which I loved also).
With them finally happy and settled, something was bound to happen, and boy it did! For the first time I didn’t see it coming. I don’t want to spoil but wow. How can anyone not read these books!
Only down fall, is there wasn’t enough book to fill my needs; and that cliff hanger made me want to rip my eyes out!
All in all 5/5 stars once again. Cannot wait for the next book Devotion!

So, many of you will be familiar with the book ‘Night film’ by Marisha Pessl. Today I was roaming around poundworld looking for some car freshners, and ‘Night film’ was only there on the shelf!
FOR £1!!!! I must have paid £4+ when it was released.
I have never been as shocked in my life, and I wonder what other gems I’ve missed!
Have any of you had experiences like this? Please let me know in the comments.
